For issue 4 of Pretty Nostalgic, regional editor Millie Milliken is looking for fellow vintage photograph collectors to share a glimpse of their personal hoards.“Having spent the last few years foraging through boxes at car boot sales, noseying in war-time envelopes and even stumbling across a few in the street, I’ve unearthed some intriguing photos from yesteryear – and I want to share the beauty of this unusual past-time by finding out what fascinates you about snapshots into other people’s lives. Whatever you collect – be it vintage wedding photos, pet pictures or mysterious portraits, I want to hear from you! We will them feature the six most intriguing collections in the magazine.” If you would like to be involved, please contact Millie with a couple of hi-res examples of your collection along with a short explanation of what it is that draws you to collecting old photographs. So dig out those albums, and get in touch… |

I’m really looking forward to seeing this. I have some old family photos (you couldn’t call it a collection!) that I adore! I especially like wartime photos as everyone always looked so smart and fabulous despite the fact there was so little of everything.
Hi Millie, I’m just catching up with my ‘website viewing’ as the snow stops so many things I should be doing, hence the time delay replying since you posted this. I also have a passion for old CDV postcards as well as all vintage postcards related to flowers. I love everything about CDV photos, so of their time, the fashions, the faces and every picture seems to tell a story. But more than anything I think one of my main loves for them is the reverse side where there are beautiful adverts from the original photographer. I do have many, many collected pics so I just couldn’t choose which to send but a few are on my website under my vintage section if you are interested. Anne-Marie
Hi I have loads of vintage photographs of all random people, mainly early 20th century. So nice to see other people collect too!
Would you be interested in borrowing them for your magazine?
thanks H
