Back in September, we launched our campaign to find Britain’s best markets and asked you to nominate your favourites. The shortlist is now in and it’s your turn to vote – who do you think deserves to win? From flea market scrummages to handpicked crafts, regional dishes to stall upon stall of fresh seasonal blooms: British markets provide a shopping experience like no other, one that should be treasured and protected. We want to celebrate not only the joy of browsing through countless colourful stalls, but to ensure that markets can continue to thrive against an increasingly competitive and corporate shopping world. So we have decided to hold a campaign to find Britain’s best markets and we want you to get involved! Vote now and help support your favourite handmade crafts, clothes, food, vintage, flower and Christmas markets. We will reveal the winners in issue 6 of Pretty Nostalgic. Pick up a copy of issue 5 to find out more about the 36 markets on our shortlist. Voting ends at midnight on Sun 27 Jan.

I nominate Brisol Harbourside market as Britain’s best market. It’s in a historic setting . Stallholders are very friendly and helpful and there is a really good atmosphere. There is a wide range of goods on offer and its the place to go for handmade artistic and creative items.
