Write for us
We’re on the look out for writers, photographers and illustrators to contribute to the magazine. Drop us a line and tell us a little about yourself and how you’d like to get involved.
Invite us in for a cuppa
We’re always curious and love to be inspired. We can’t wait to showcase innovative designers, crafters and makers, to visit imaginative shops and to peek into quirky homes and gardens. We want to share ideas, inspire our readers and help foster a world in which we continuously recycle and reinvent our homes and fill them with memories. Please drop us a line if you’ve got a story to share.
Sell our magazine
We want to sell our magazine, book and merchandise through independent British businesses and producers and share our profits fairly. Drop us a line if you’d like to sell our magazine and keep 50% of the cover price. We would love to work with independent boutiques, vintage shops and bookstores, quirky cafes, pop-up stalls, cottage industries and individual makers.
To become a stockist please fill out our Stockist Form, save as a new file, and send to nicole@prettynostalgic.co.uk. You can also download our media pack here if you’d like to display some posters for us!
Become a Pretty Nostalgic Pioneer
We want to share our profits with local businesses and individuals, who partake in our values, rather than with anonymous distributors, chain stores and multinational wholesalers. So we are looking for like-minded individuals and independent businesses to join us as Pretty Nostalgic Pioneers and sell our magazine, books and merchandise locally.
We’d love to see Pretty Nostalgic stocked in independent shops and boutiques, craft and vintage fairs, flea markets and pop up stalls. Please get in touch if you’d like to become a stockist or if you’d like to sell our products alongside your own.
Not only will you earn a share of each sale, take advantage of special advertising rates in the magazine and be listed in our directory, you’ll be joining a group of like-minded crafters, artisans and independent businesses in helping to support our mission – to celebrate sustainable lifestyles that are simple, nostalgic, creative, curious and stylish.
Media Pack
There are plenty of ways to promote us without having to sign up as a pioneer or stockist. If you’ve got a blog please put our Pretty Nostalgic buttons onto your sidebar and link to the site. Hello
I am in the process of setting up a new business website “Home ’til Monday” which will be a virtual house full of vintage, retro, and kitsch objects, soft furnishing and clothing. The clothes and soft furnishings I make myself from original vintage patterns and wherever possible from vintage fabric too. The other items will be ornaments and small household items for sale from the 1940s to 1990s. I only have a holding page up at the moment and am selling on Etsy and Folksy but hope to launch properly in March. I would be interested in helping in any way I can as I need all the help I can get too!
Kind regards
Ellen

Loving & Giving :
A small business that focuses on the customer first and formost. I aim to offer excellent customer service ( like they did in t’old days) keeping British industry and crafts alive. Buying from British sellers while supporting other small busineses. Recycling materials wherever possible, I hate wasting or throwing stuff away. Trying to offer something different, most of the larger handmade products will be one off’s due to the recycled materials and vintage lace I have used. I will also be selling some special pieces of retro/vintage obje da (is that how it’s spelt?) that I have picked up along the way in charity shops or auctions because they were too nice to leave, and in keeping with my recycling passion. I’d love to be added to your directory. Kind regards Melanie

Would you be interested in a stand at our event in North Yorkshire? It is a 1940′s event and attracts 30 – 40,000 people on the Saturday alone. It could be a good place to get the word out about your magazine and some new subscribers.

Hi
I have been talking to Rosemary in ONce upon a time in South Molton. I was telling her all about my vintage wedding (whilst buying vintage doilies for the tea pots with flowers in to sit on!) and after describing the wedding she said I should get in touch with you in case you wanted to feature it!
So I am making contact! We have made everything from scratch, including collecting vintage china and crockery for Tea at the Ritz, turning jam jars in to elegant glasses for pimms using lace and a glue gun and vintage candy stripped paper straws, all served on vintage silver trays. We have also made hundreds of metres of home made bunting, have made a home made wooden candy cart with vintage sweetie jars, old drinks dispensers to hold cloudy lemonade, a million different cake stands for our cake table, homemade jams and chutneys for the favours with luggage tags and material lids, an old suitcase that I re-lined and have filled with flip flops for tired feet, home made wooden signs and planters with our initials stencilled on.

I have also began making accessories from items found at vintage fairs. I would love to be featured in your wonderful magazine.
I hope to hear from you soon, thank you.
